Controls & Governance Consultant – 12‑Month Contract

About the role

The Controls & Governance Consultant will act as the first line of control for the Cards function, ensuring operational excellence, compliance and robust governance across all card‑related products and activities. This 12‑month position requires a meticulous professional who can review processes, manage vendor deliverables and influence stakeholders to maintain the highest standards.

Key responsibilities

• Drive governance and control activities across the Cards business.
• Review partner and vendor reports for regulatory, contractual and operational compliance.
• Monitor contractual obligations and renewal timelines.
• Oversee telesales scripts and customer communications for accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure consistency and accuracy of customer‑facing information across digital channels.
• Review and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Audit marketing, product and customer‑facing collateral.
• Support senior leadership by reviewing contracts, agreements and business cases.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address control gaps and drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of experience in governance, controls, compliance, risk or documentation management.
• Strong background in banking, financial services, cards, payments or related sectors.
• Proven ability to review contracts, partner agreements and operational reports.
• Exceptional attention to detail and process discipline.
• Strong stakeholder‑management and influencing skills.
• Ability to work closely with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
• Preferably Arabic speaker.
