Cost Accountant

About the role

Arabian Oud is looking for a detail‑oriented Cost Accountant to join its finance team. The role focuses on product costing, inventory analysis, and variance reporting within a manufacturing environment to support accurate cost control and profitability analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and maintain standard costs for materials, labor and overhead.
• Maintain cost records and ensure accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) and production routings in the ERP system.
• Support inventory valuation for raw materials, work‑in‑progress and finished goods.
• Conduct regular variance analysis on material usage, labor, overhead and purchase price.
• Assist with month‑end closing activities related to inventory and COGS.
• Prepare cost reports and provide analytical support for financial reporting.
• Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain and Procurement to improve cost transparency.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and internal/external audit activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• At least 2 years of experience in cost or inventory accounting.
• Experience in a manufacturing or product‑based environment is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Proficiency in English.

Required skills

• ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or NetSuite.
• Advanced Excel.
