Driller DD – Diamond Core Drilling Specialist

About the role

Saudi Gold Refinery is looking for a Driller DD to operate diamond‑core drilling rigs across its exploration portfolio in the Arabian Shield, based in Riyadh. The role supports geological drilling programmes, ensures high core recovery, and complies with strict safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate diamond‑core drilling equipment to achieve planned borehole depths and align with geological coordinates.
• Extract core samples, place them in standardized trays, and complete chain‑of‑custody documentation.
• Monitor and adjust drilling fluid viscosity, density and circulation to stabilise borehole walls.
• Perform daily equipment inspections, lubrication and troubleshoot hydraulic or rotary‑head faults.
• Implement permit‑to‑work, lockout‑tagout and other HSE procedures during maintenance and refuelling.
• Submit daily shift logs covering meters drilled, downtime, fuel consumption and safety observations.
• Supervise rig assistants, conduct toolbox talks and ensure site clean‑up.

Required profile

• Proven experience operating diamond‑core drilling rigs in mining or exploration projects.
• Ability to follow HSE and environmental protection procedures on site.
• Strong coordination skills with geologists, maintenance teams and supervisors.
