Head of ATM Operations Section

About the role

The Head of ATM Operations Section leads and controls all aspects of ATM operations, including monitoring, cash transit, replenishment, and technical support. The role ensures smooth, error‑free processing and delivers high‑quality service to both internal and external customers.

Key responsibilities

• Implement departmental policies, processes and procedures, and monitor compliance.
• Provide input for the departmental budget and track performance against approved levels.
• Oversee day‑to‑day ATM operations, ensuring adherence to standards and procedures.
• Manage the ATM/POS network, including new installations, cancellations, relocations, upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate cash availability, determining required currency levels and ensuring timely replenishment.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot ATM hardware and software, perform compatibility testing and deploy new security features.
• Monitor usage and profitability, implement corrective actions in line with retail business goals.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with external service providers to secure cost‑effective services.
• Maintain relationships with third‑party networks such as MasterCard and Visa, and liaise with other banks as needed.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in ATM operations and management within a banking environment.
• Strong knowledge of cash handling, technical support, and preventive maintenance processes.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, vendor contracts and cross‑functional coordination.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills to guide subordinates and interact with external partners.
