Internal Audit Manager

About the role

The Internal Audit Manager will support the audit function by developing policies, conducting audits, and reporting findings to strengthen governance and mitigate risks. This role works closely with senior management to align audit activities with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the direct manager in creating and implementing internal audit policies, processes, and procedures.
• Conduct audits across risk management, internal controls, and governance, reviewing senior personnel files, contracts, confidential documents, correspondence, and meeting minutes.
• Prepare and present audit findings, assessments, and progress on recommendations.
• Help develop annual audit plans and schedules to ensure comprehensive coverage of key risk areas.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with department managers and stakeholders to promote strong corporate governance.
• Stay updated on market trends and leading audit practices for continuous improvement.

Required profile

• University degree in Law, Finance, Engineering or a related field; postgraduate degree preferred.
• At least 8 years of auditing experience, preferably with a large audit firm.
• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation.
• Demonstrated ability to develop audit plans and communicate findings to senior management.
