Jr. Accountant & Operations Officer

About the role

This junior position supports the finance and administration team by handling day‑to‑day accounting and operational tasks. It is ideal for a detail‑oriented individual who wants to develop accounting expertise in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify all daily transactions, ensuring supporting documents (invoices, receipts) are attached before data entry.
• Enter expenses, bank deposits, transfers and purchase‑related shipping charges into the accounting software.
• Organise and file accounting documents and attachments.
• Review, verify and correct monthly purchase records and financial statements.
• Post transactions across software modules and reconcile all monetary accounts (banks, petty cash, collections).
• Prepare and submit a daily activity report to the supervisor.
• Provide recommendations on resource usage and disbursements.
• Participate in the Medicals International Quality Management System aligned with ISO 9001:2008.
• Perform any other accounting‑related tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 0‑2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Competence in Microsoft Word.
