Network Security Engineer

About the role

Accenture is seeking a passionate Network Security Engineer to join its security team. You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation, monitoring and support of a wide range of network security services, ensuring the infrastructure remains secure and reliable across both on‑premise and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor and support network security tools such as firewalls, WAF, API security, DDoS protection, IPS, mail gateways, proxies and NAC solutions.
• Create and manage firewall policies using AlgoSec, performing reviews and validations.
• Administer F5 Web Application Firewall and API security platforms.
• Maintain secure configurations, availability and performance of security devices.
• Implement patching, upgrades and signature updates following approved processes.
• Evaluate operational effectiveness, identify gaps and drive improvement initiatives.
• Support troubleshooting of network and security incidents, including traffic analysis and packet capture.
• Maintain comprehensive operational documentation and support audit reporting.
• Escalate complex issues or potential threats as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of network security protocols, firewalls, IDS/IPS, malware analysis and threat detection.
• Hands‑on experience with firewalls, WAF, API security, DDoS, IPS, mail gateways, proxies and NAC solutions.
• Practical experience in network troubleshooting, traffic analysis and packet capture.
• Familiarity with security patching, upgrades and signature management.
• Preferred certifications: F5 Administrator, Arbor APS, CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, PNSCE, NSE4, NSE7.
