Pharmacist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The role involves ensuring safe and effective medication use for patients, supporting clinical decisions, and maintaining high standards of pharmacy practice.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor prescriptions for errors, appropriateness and patient safety.
• Provide dosage advice and recommend the most suitable medication form (tablet, injection, ointment, inhaler).
• Document medication information accurately and promptly.
• Publish educational material for healthcare professionals and patients.
• Participate in patient rounds, take drug histories and contribute to treatment decisions.
• Ensure proper storage, security and monthly verification of medicines.
• Supervise less experienced pharmacy staff.
• Prepare, quality‑check and label sterile and high‑alert medications, including intravenous preparations.
• Maintain a clean workspace and follow safety protocols, including double‑checking with a colleague.
• Educate new pharmacists and team members on pharmacy procedures.
• Contribute to clinical quality improvement and patient‑satisfaction initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• At least one year of experience as a pharmacist, preferably in a hospital or dialysis setting.
• Current registered pharmacist licensure and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the Saudi or American Heart Association.
