Senior Accountant – 12‑Month Contract in Riyadh

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant on a 12‑month contract to join a reputable pharmaceutical/biotech organization in Riyadh. The role involves managing high‑volume journal entries, financial reporting, tax compliance and supporting audits.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries and month‑end close activities with supporting documentation.
• Maintain and reconcile P&L and balance‑sheet accounts, including accruals, provisions and allocations.
• Manage statutory reporting requirements such as VAT, WHT and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Prepare analyses and schedules for internal management and external auditors.
• Coordinate with other functions to gather information and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Provide technical guidance to junior staff and train users on accounting software.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multinational biotech or pharmaceutical company.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and internal control procedures.
• CPA or equivalent qualification is a plus.
