Senior Accountant

About the role

Hatch, in partnership with Ma’aden, is looking for a Senior Accountant to support both project and corporate accounting activities across Saudi Arabia. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, compliance with local standards, and effective financial management for major mining and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the full accounting cycle, including month‑end and year‑end close, in an SAP environment.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, expense claims, vendor payments, fixed‑asset accounting, and client invoicing.
• Handle intercompany transactions, recharges, and support annual external audits.
• Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS and ensure timely submission.
• Oversee project financial administration, including setup, client billing, milestone invoicing, and revenue recognition.
• Collaborate with project managers to monitor performance, profitability, and provide financial insights.
• Lead compliance with Saudi tax regulations, VAT, withholding tax, ZATCA, transfer pricing, and e‑invoicing.
• Prepare and review tax filings, manage tax assessments, audits, and regulatory inquiries.
• Administer payroll tax compliance, including GOSI registrations and monthly contributions.

Required profile

• Senior‑level accounting experience with a strong understanding of IFRS and SOCPA.
• Proven ability to manage full accounting cycles and external audits.
• Experience in project accounting and financial reporting for large capital projects.
• In‑depth knowledge of Saudi tax regulations, VAT, ZATCA, and payroll tax compliance.
