Senior Mobile Engineer (React Native)

About the role

Barakah is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to own and evolve its consumer‑facing mobile applications built with React Native. You will work across iOS and Android, shaping architecture, performance, and user experience while contributing to a mission‑driven food‑waste reduction platform.

Key responsibilities

• Take technical ownership of the React Native codebase for both iOS and Android.
• Design and implement scalable mobile architecture, ensuring high performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product, design, backend, data, and operations teams to translate requirements into reliable app flows.
• Manage mobile releases using Expo, EAS builds, Fastlane, or similar tooling.
• Support Arabic and English experiences, including RTL layouts and localization.
• Debug production issues, implement monitoring, crash tracking, and improve testing processes.
• Define and promote mobile engineering standards across the team.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrable production ownership.
• Strong hands‑on experience delivering React Native applications at scale.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑moving, cross‑functional environment.
• Full‑stack awareness of APIs, data models, authentication, and analytics.
