Tax & Zakat Supervisor

About the role

Reef Group is looking for an experienced Tax & Zakat Supervisor to lead its tax function in Saudi Arabia. The role involves ensuring full compliance with Saudi and GCC tax regulations while supporting the company’s financial governance and strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee direct taxes (Zakat, Corporate Income Tax, tax provisions, planning and compliance) and indirect taxes (VAT, Withholding Tax, Real Estate Transaction Tax, recoveries and reconciliations).
• Monitor legislative changes across Saudi Arabia and the GCC, assess impact and advise on risk mitigation.
• Manage transfer pricing documentation, policies and compliance with local and international standards.
• Prepare periodic tax and zakat reports for senior management, highlighting risks and improvement opportunities.
• Review invoices, accounting entries and commercial contracts to ensure correct tax treatment.
• Develop and enhance tax policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Lead and coach the Tax & Zakat team, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
• Participate in finance transformation and ERP implementation projects to embed tax requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of tax and zakat experience, preferably in Saudi Arabia.
• Hands‑on experience with VAT, Zakat, Withholding Tax and Corporate Income Tax.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi tax law and familiarity with GCC tax frameworks.
• Practical experience in transfer pricing compliance.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
