AI Data Center Infrastructure Project Technical Head

About the role

The AI Data Center Infrastructure Project Technical Head will provide overall technical leadership for large‑scale AI‑focused data centre projects. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures that all engineering disciplines deliver a solution that meets performance, reliability, scalability, quality and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical scope of AI data centre infrastructure projects from concept through commissioning.
• Act as the primary technical liaison for clients and project stakeholders.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary Electrical, Mechanical and Digital engineering teams.
• Design and integrate critical systems such as power, cooling, UPS, transformers, MV/LV distribution, EPMS/BMS and monitoring & control.
• Manage technical risks, design changes, deviations and engineering issues.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, contractors and internal teams to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Support testing, commissioning and hand‑over activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, MEP or related engineering.
• 15+ years of experience in data centre or critical infrastructure projects, preferably hyperscale.
• Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong client‑facing communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience in the GCC, especially Saudi Arabia, is an advantage.
