Carpenter – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Carpenter to join our engineering team at FAENA The Red Sea hotel in Saudi Arabia. The role involves delivering high‑quality carpentry, repair, maintenance and installation work across guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house spaces, ensuring the hotel’s wooden elements meet our standards of safety, appearance and durability.

Key responsibilities

• Perform carpentry repairs, maintenance, installations and modifications throughout the hotel.
• Repair and maintain doors, locks, frames, cabinets, furniture, shelving, partitions and other wooden fixtures.
• Inspect furniture and wooden installations to identify damage or maintenance needs.
• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance according to schedules and work orders.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, install and finish wood and related materials to specifications.
• Read and follow drawings, measurements, technical instructions and work specifications.
• Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in a clean, safe and organized condition.
• Coordinate with engineering team members and other hotel departments for project and renovation work.

Required profile

• Technical or vocational qualification in Carpentry, Woodworking or a related trade (preferred).
• Previous experience as a Carpenter or in a similar maintenance role within a hotel or hospitality environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
• Use of carpentry equipment safely and correctly.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Measuring, cutting, shaping and finishing wood materials.
• Installation and adjustment of doors, hinges, locks, handles and cabinetry.
