Chef de Partie

About the role

The Chef de Partie will work in the hotel kitchen in Jeddah, preparing a variety of dishes to the highest quality standards. This full‑time position supports the culinary team by ensuring timely preparation, proper portioning, and consistent presentation of meals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals and substitute items according to recipes.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
• Thaw frozen items in a controlled refrigerator environment.
• Ensure proper portioning, arrangement, and garnish of dishes.
• Maintain food logs and monitor quality and quantity of prepared food.
• Communicate assistance needs during busy periods and inform the Chef of excess items for daily specials.
• Inform service staff of menu specials and out‑of‑stock items.
• Prepare both hot and cold foods, adhering to presentation and safety standards.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, and employee coaching.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting any hazards or incidents.

Required profile

• Technical, trade, or vocational school education in culinary arts or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant kitchen experience.
• Ability to work full‑time in a fast‑paced environment.
• Physical capability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lb, and perform repetitive motions.
• No supervisory experience required.
