Chief Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Chief Accountant to lead the finance function at our Hyatt Regency Riyadh Olaya hotel. The successful candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and provide strategic insights to support operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with hotel financial policies, local regulations and Hyatt standards.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports and analytical reviews.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning.
• Lead and supervise the accounting team, guaranteeing timely and accurate task completion.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain proper documentation.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations and other financial transactions.
• Provide department heads with financial insights to improve performance.
• Maintain strong internal controls and document financial processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Mandatory hotel accounting experience, preferably in a similar senior role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting and auditing.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Demonstrated leadership, analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• High integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
