Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Housekeeping Manager oversees daily shift operations of housekeeping, recreation/health club and laundry (if applicable) at a Le Méridien hotel in Riyadh. The role ensures guest rooms, public areas and employee zones are clean, inspected and maintained while meeting budget and service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily housekeeping shift operations, verify compliance with policies, standards and procedures.
• Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public spaces, communicate room status to Front Desk and assign cleaning tasks.
• Manage inventory of supplies, ensure adequate stock and proper equipment/uniforms for staff.
• Oversee budgeting for housekeeping, monitor expenses and strive to meet or exceed financial goals.
• Train new room attendants, schedule staff according to business demand, track attendance and enforce SOPs.
• Handle guest complaints, develop corrective action plans and promote continuous improvement in service quality.
• Participate in departmental meetings, communicate goals and recognize employee performance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or related field (no experience required).
• Ability to lead a team, conduct inspections, manage budgets and maintain high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
