Maintenance Engineer – Injection Molding

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Maintenance Engineer to keep our plastic injection molding and in‑mold labeling (IML) production lines running smoothly. The role involves daily equipment inspections, troubleshooting, and both preventive and corrective maintenance to support uninterrupted production.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair plastic injection molding machines.
• Handle mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation faults.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and respond to breakdowns promptly.
• Maintain and troubleshoot IML robots and associated automation systems.
• Service PLC/HMI and machine control systems.
• Maintain auxiliary equipment such as chillers, air compressors, and material‑conveying systems.
• Analyse recurring breakdowns, propose corrective actions, and update PM schedules.
• Prepare maintenance records, breakdown reports, and spare‑parts lists.
• Coordinate with suppliers, service providers, and procurement for parts and technical support.
• Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and technologies.
• Follow safety procedures, including LOTO, and coordinate with production to minimise downtime.

Required profile

• 3–4+ years of hands‑on experience maintaining injection molding machines.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with PLC/HMI troubleshooting and automation.
• Familiarity with IML robots is highly preferred.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, automation, industrial engineering or a related field.
• Ability to read technical drawings, electrical schematics and equipment manuals.
