Optician

About the role

The Optician will assist customers in selecting eyewear that meets their visual and lifestyle needs while driving sales and ensuring a high‑quality customer experience in a retail showroom.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers, assess visual requirements and lifestyle preferences.
• Recommend appropriate frames, lenses and optical solutions and explain product features, pricing and promotions.
• Achieve individual and team sales targets.
• Process sales transactions and provide basic after‑sales support.
• Maintain showroom presentation and merchandising standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or certification in Optical Technology or a related field.
• Minimum two years of experience in an optical lab or retail optical environment.
• Ability to accurately read and execute optical prescriptions.
• High attention to detail and technical accuracy.
• Strong sales, communication and customer‑service skills.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting optical prescriptions.
