Procurement Engineer (Fit-Out)

About the role

The Procurement Engineer (Fit‑Out) is responsible for the technical and commercial procurement of all materials, equipment and services needed for construction and hospitality projects. Working closely with engineering, construction, QA/QC, finance and project teams, the role ensures that supplies are available on time, within budget and according to project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement plans aligned with project schedules, budgets and material submittal timelines.
• Review drawings, BOQs, technical specifications and material requisitions to define procurement needs.
• Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs, evaluate supplier quotations and produce technical‑commercial bid comparisons.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable payment terms, delivery schedules and warranties.
• Issue purchase orders and subcontract agreements in line with company procedures.
• Monitor supplier performance, production schedules, inspections and delivery dates, coordinating with logistics and stores to ensure on‑site availability.
• Track long‑lead items, critical materials and supply‑chain risks, proposing mitigation plans when delays arise.
• Maintain accurate procurement logs, supplier records and expenditure tracking against approved budgets.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years (96 months) of procurement experience in construction or fit‑out projects.
• Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and manage complex supplier relationships.
• Strong understanding of commercial contracts, payment terms and warranty conditions.
• Detail‑oriented with the capacity to analyse technical specifications and ensure compliance.
