Risk Manager

About the role

The Risk Manager will lead the identification, assessment and mitigation of operational and enterprise risks across Maharah Human Resources Company. Reporting to the Risk Management Lead, the role ensures alignment with the company’s risk appetite and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor KPIs and KRIs against risk appetite, limit thresholds and report violations.
• Review and update risk appetite statements and associated indicators.
• Maintain the risk rating and risk register, performing periodic reviews.
• Collect and analyse internal and external risk data to identify mitigation opportunities.
• Advise business units on risk identification, evaluation, management and resolution.
• Record problem management actions and work with risk owners for timely resolution.
• Escalate risk issues to the manager and ensure operational risk is managed per policy.
• Participate in scenario design, facilitate workshops and conduct scenario analysis.
• Research industry operational losses to improve loss modeling.
• Prepare risk reports for presentation to relevant committees.
• Keep up‑to‑date with local and international legislation, regulations, insurance trends and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management or Project Management.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in risk management or related fields.
• Professional risk specialist certification.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and communicate risk findings.
