Senior Associate - Master Planning

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Senior Associate to lead master‑planning and architectural design efforts on complex infrastructure projects. You will provide technical guidance, mentor multidisciplinary teams, and ensure design excellence throughout project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide architectural guidance, calculations, analysis, and recommendations for assigned project segments.
• Manage groups of architects, designers, and specialists, fostering collaboration and high performance.
• Assist Project Architectural or Engineering Managers on complex initiatives and deliver technical expertise.
• Oversee project delivery, ensuring compliance with design standards, quality benchmarks, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and mentor team members, offering feedback and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and client stakeholders to align design solutions with project objectives.
• Manage project budgets and resources, tracking expenditures and optimizing allocation.
• Conduct design reviews and quality‑assurance assessments.
• Contribute to strategic planning and process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Design, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of professional architectural design experience, including at least 5 years in a senior or leadership role.
• Proven expertise in architectural design principles, building systems, and construction methodologies.
• Strong experience managing and mentoring diverse design teams.
• In‑depth knowledge of building codes, regulatory requirements, and industry standards (ADA, IBC, local zoning).
