Senior Electrical Engineer – Saudi National

About the role

The Senior Electrical Engineer will provide technical oversight and coordination for electrical works on AlUla infrastructure and development projects. The role ensures that all electrical installations are executed in line with approved designs, Saudi regulations, and international standards, supporting successful testing, commissioning, and handover.

Key responsibilities

• Provide senior technical oversight during construction, testing, commissioning, and handover phases.
• Conduct sanity checks of electrical drawings, specifications, method statements, material submissions, shop drawings, and technical proposals.
• Monitor installation of HV/MV/LV networks, substations, transformers, switchgear, and distribution systems.
• Coordinate electrical works with civil, utilities, roads, architectural, mechanical, ICT and other disciplines.
• Ensure site activities comply with IFC drawings, specifications, approved materials and relevant standards.
• Interface with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) and other utility providers for approvals and connections.
• Track contractor progress against programme and flag impacts on milestones.
• Oversee testing and commissioning activities, verify inspections, tests and documentation.
• Review snagging/punch‑list items and ensure closure.
• Support preparation of as‑built drawings, O&M manuals and final handover documentation.

Required profile

• Saudi national with extensive experience in electrical engineering for construction projects.
• Proven ability to supervise and coordinate large‑scale HV/MV/LV installations.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi electrical regulations, SEC requirements and international standards.
• Experience in testing, commissioning and handover of power infrastructure.
• Ability to work closely with project managers, contractors, consultants and authorities.
