Service Coordinator

About the role

The Service Coordinator will act as the single point of contact for customers during the execution of service jobs, ensuring that all work complies with ABB’s standards, procedures and policies. This role supports the Measurement & Analytics Division by coordinating service activities at customer sites and driving continuous improvement in service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver responsive support coordination to exceed customer expectations.
• Plan, schedule and oversee all service jobs, securing necessary resources, spare parts and logistics.
• Assess gaps in service delivery and contract execution, working with engineers and operations managers to mitigate issues.
• Maintain and monitor the competency and certification database for field service engineers.
• Track completion of service visits and ensure timely documentation.
• Drive Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) to zero, minimizing the need for redispatch.
• Review and communicate on‑site entry requirements, including PPE and training, prior to field visits.
• Arrange and coordinate required training to clear field service engineers for customer sites.

Required profile

• Strong coordination and planning abilities for complex service operations.
• Experience acting as a single point of contact with customers and internal teams.
• Knowledge of safety and entry requirements for industrial sites.
• Ability to work closely with engineers, operations managers and logistics teams.
• Attention to detail in documentation and certification management.
