Steward (Hotel Kitchen)

About the role

The Steward works in the hotel kitchen in Al Khobar, supporting the food and beverage service by ensuring all dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment are cleaned, sanitized and ready for use. The role requires a high level of cleanliness, attention to detail and a courteous, professional attitude to enhance guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and wash dishes, pots, pans and other kitchen equipment according to established performance standards.
• Maintain the work area and surrounding zones in a clean, organized and safe condition at all times.
• Monitor operating supplies, equipment and reduce spoilage and wastage.
• Report equipment failures or malfunctions promptly and handle operating machinery responsibly.
• Assist in scheduled inventories of products and operating equipment.
• Ensure proper waste separation and adherence to garbage regulations.
• Follow hotel policies on fire safety, hygiene, health and safety.
• Support the Assistant Stewarding Manager and Stewarding Manager in delivering consistent service standards.

Required profile

• Professional and courteous service attitude with the ability to set a positive example for colleagues.
• Punctuality, proper uniform compliance (including safety shoes and nametag) and high personal hygiene standards.
• Good rapport and teamwork skills within the department and across the hotel.
• Willingness to undertake reasonable secondary duties and adapt to changes dictated by management.
