Cost Control Accountant

About the role

The Cost Control Accountant is responsible for monitoring, controlling, and analysing the company's cost structure across all brands and branches. This role identifies cost variances, investigates root causes, and provides actionable insights to improve cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse cost structure across all brands and branches, including COGS, purchasing, inventory, consumption, production, waste, and transfers.
• Review recipes, standard costs, yields and actual consumption on Foodics to ensure accurate costing data.
• Analyse actual costs against budget, standard cost and prior periods, preparing monthly cost reports and variance analyses.
• Track purchasing prices, flag abnormal increases and investigate variances to recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Operations, Purchasing, Warehouse, Central Kitchen and Finance to implement and follow‑up on corrective measures.
• Identify cost‑saving and efficiency opportunities in branch and Central Kitchen operations.
• Support analysis of operating costs such as labour, utilities, maintenance, marketing and delivery.
• Assist month‑end COGS closing and reconciliation, ensuring data consistency between Foodics and Xero.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of cost control experience, preferably in restaurants or F&B.
• Hands‑on experience with Foodics and Xero.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with a proactive, detail‑oriented approach.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills across multiple departments.

• Foodics (restaurant POS and costing system).
• Xero (accounting software).
• Advanced Excel for data analysis.
